Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 2023
Givuma LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Givuma"), in addition to what is provided for in the privacy policy, wishes to inform users about the use of cookies and other tracking technologies, as further specified from time to time (e.g., pixels or SDKs; hereinafter, for convenience, cookies and the aforementioned technologies are referred to as "Cookies") on the online properties where this Cookie Policy is made available. Givuma informs you that it uses Cookies in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (European Regulation on the protection of personal data; "GDPR"), Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 and subsequent amendments (Code on the protection of personal data), Directive 2002/58/EC, the provision of the Italian Data Protection Authority ("Garante Privacy") "Identification of simplified procedures for information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies" of 8 May 2014, as well as in accordance with the subsequent "Clarifications on the implementation of legislation on cookies" of 5 June 2015 and the "Cookie and other tracking tools guidelines" of 10 June 2021.
We inform you that, as outlined in the Terms and Conditions of use of each website and related services, access to some Givuma Group websites may occur in two alternative ways: (i) by purchasing a subscription offer for one or more services; ii) by consenting to the use of profiling Cookies in order to allow us to show you personalized content and advertising in line with your interests.
If you decide to access the contents and services of this site by consenting to the use of profiling Cookies, you will authorize us to install the Cookies and tracking tools detailed in paragraph 3 "Profiling Cookies". The aforementioned consent is valid for 6 months, unless you decide to withdraw it at any time by accessing the Ad Preferences Panel (i.e., the interface for managing consent accessible through the "Cookie Management" hyperlink in the footer of all site pages) or by using one of the other methods indicated in this Cookie Policy; subsequently, every 6 months (or even sooner in case of withdrawal of consent) we will ask you again if you intend to access the services by giving your consent to the installation of profiling Cookies or, alternatively, by purchasing a subscription offer for one or more services.
With regard to the specific issue of transfers of personal data outside the European territory, please refer to paragraph 7 of the privacy policy.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text strings that a website sends to the user's device, where they are automatically stored and then sent back to the site at each subsequent access. Cookies allow the site to recognize the user's device and enable navigation between pages, remembering expressed preferences and improving the user experience. They can also ensure that online advertisements are more suitable and relevant to users' interests.
- directly from the owner and/or responsible of the website (so-called first-party cookies);
- from third parties other than the publisher of the website visited by the user (so-called third-party cookies). Unless otherwise specified, it should be noted that third-party cookies fall under the direct and exclusive responsibility of the respective manager. Further information on privacy and their use is therefore available directly on the sites of the respective managers.
In accordance with the indications of the Italian Data Protection Authority and the opinions issued at European level by the Working Group under Article 29 (independent European working group, now replaced by the European Data Protection Board, so-called EDPB), Cookies can be classified into the following categories:
1. Technical Cookies
Technical Cookies are necessary for the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network and for the provision of the service requested by the user. They include:
- Session or navigation cookies: these are cookies that are not persistently stored on the user's terminal and are deleted when the browser is closed, and they are strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers necessary to enable safe and efficient exploration of the site.
- Functionality cookies: these allow remembering the site settings chosen by users, such as language or privacy preferences, in order to improve their services and browsing experience.
For these types of Cookies, it is not necessary to obtain the user's prior and informed consent.
2. Analytical Cookies
Analytical Cookies, as recently emphasized by the Privacy Authority, can be used, among other things, to evaluate the effectiveness of an information society service provided by a publisher, for the design of a website, or to help measure its traffic (i.e., the number of visitors, possibly broken down by geographic area, time of connection, or other characteristics).
Similarly, analytical Cookies, when installed by third parties, do not require the collection of prior consent from the user if there is no direct identification of the data subject (so-called single out) in order to prevent the use of direct and unique identifiers. In particular, these Cookies must have the following characteristics: (i) the same Cookie must be referable not only to one but to multiple devices, so as to create a reasonable uncertainty about the digital identity of the subject receiving it (e.g., through masking appropriate portions of the IP address), (ii) the use of Cookies must be limited solely to the production of aggregated statistics, and such Cookies can be used in relation to a single site or a single mobile application, so as not to allow the tracking of navigation of the person using different applications or browsing different websites. Furthermore, it should be noted that the third parties, who provide the publisher with the web measurement service, should not combine the data, even when minimized, with other processing (customer files or visit statistics to other sites, for example), nor transmit them in turn to further third parties, under penalty of the unacceptable increase in the risks of user identification; except in cases where the production of statistics carried out by them with minimized data involves multiple domains, websites, or apps attributable to the same publisher or entrepreneurial group.
Consent will instead be required from the user for analytical Cookies installed by third parties without guarantees aimed at minimizing the processing of data collected through these Cookies.
3. Profiling Cookies
Profiling Cookies are used to associate specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the features offered (patterns) with certain subjects, identified or identifiable, for the purpose of grouping the different profiles within homogeneous clusters of varying size, so that it is also possible to modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalized manner, as well as to send targeted advertising messages, i.e., in line with the preferences expressed by the user during online browsing. The installation of profiling Cookies and the processing of the user's personal data resulting from it are optional, so user consent is required for the installation of this type of Cookie.
Your consent will also be required in relation to "mixed" Cookies (i.e., installed and used for various purposes and which do not have a mere technical/analytics connotation).
In particular, through profiling Cookies, Givuma Digital pursues the purposes indicated below, as defined by the IAB Transparency Framework. Please note that the purposes for which we ask for your consent to access our services as an alternative to a paid subscription are only those marked with an asterisk.

The monitoring also allows Awin to provide Publishers and Advertisers with relevant reports, which generally contain only aggregated statistical data.
